This year my most anticipated day was October 31^st. Well actually it’s like that every year. You know that gloomy, depressing morning of December 26^th, when Christmas came and gone, well that’s what it’s like for me on November 1^st. My costume was inspired from my puppies, which I created in celebration of our favorite season. I decided we would come as a pair on October 31^st, after he won a Halloween contest the week before. What I enjoyed about this costume was that I incorporated some of my favorite articles of clothing (as well as Gizmo’s), giving our look more of a “casual Halloween costume”, In a sense that without the leaves, hay, face paint, etc., this could have been an everyday street style for us. Below I posted some DYI pics of Gizmo’s costume. The original shirt I thrifted but then decided to go with a baby shirt from target. While his denim overalls were added to his wardrobe last year, I just added the finishing touches of hay and glitter painted leaves.

 

Pure Green Clay Mask

 

 

 

 

You know those store bought facial mask packets that smell amazing but give no results what so ever? Well today I am sharing my favorite DIY facial mask made with green clay (Bentonite Clay) and apple cider vinegar. I have been using this mixture for a couple years now. "Indian Healing Clay" is a deep pore cleanser, which aids in clearing acne but can also be used for body wraps, foot soaks, insect bites, and much more!

 

 Here are the steps:

Mix equal parts of clay & vinegar in a non metallic bowl. This gives it its beautiful green color that I love so much. After you spread it over your face, leave it on for about 20 minutes. You will start to feel a tightening sensation as the mask dries. Rinse with warm water. You will notice redness in your face but don't worry it will go away after about 30 minutes. Afterwards your face will feel smoother and cleaner than ever. You should feel relieved, all the dirt and toxins in your face are gone. If you don't believe me read the reviews for yourself!

 

 

This product is seriously the best of the best. Instead of a little packet with a pretty design on the front and an extensive list of ingredients that most of us are clueless to, Indian Healing clay is the alternative. Heat + Fashion

Coming soon to a city near you - The summer - and all the thrill it brings along including the HEAT that will shortly approach us.  For most this is a time that has been long awaited since the previous fall. However we tend to forget the hot and muggy heat that makes our clothes only feel like a burden we must carry on our backs all day long. For me my favorite summer attire is something simple, loose, and light. While spring is definitely in the air, it is not all with us yet. These days still call for a winter coat and layers in Philadelphia. I've been contemplating this look for a while now, and today here it is! My fur on leather jacket and vest combination. I have seen numerous blazers and coats this past winter with fur attached. Although I have not purchased the look as a whole, I decided to use my resources available and create the look with my leather jacket and faux fur I gave to my mom as a Christmas gift (If you ever feel to guilty to buy too much for yourself, you can always buy it for someone else and burrow it when needed). These Photos were taken at the Schuylkill river dog park near the Rittenhouse Filter square neighborhoods.

 

Dressing for Snow

Dressing up in the winter can be extremely hard to do; hence the cold weather and wet, snowy conditions. Sometimes you just have to make it work with something comfortable. Tights are such a versatile piece during this time of year for me. I usually dress them down during the day, but can easily dress them up at night with some heels.

My Favorite time of year has come, January - my birthday, although it doesn't feel so special anymore I still love this month and the snow that should come with it. This weekend my Boyfriend & I went to a wine pairing class out in Phoenixville, PA. The Wines were good but cheeses that came along from @Di Bruno Brothers were amazing! I styled a couple comfortable pieces together for a night like this, since I knew my stomach would surely be full after our dinner @Sullivan's.

I'd like to dedicate this post to my best friend Stephanie, who is ready to have her son any week now. Yesterday was her shower & I could not have been more excited for it! Here are just a few outfit photos of me and couple other great put togethers worth showing. I was so excited when I finally managed to put together an outfit. I knew I was not shopping my own closet for this event, so off I was everyday this week to search for that perfect dress. Unfortunately I couldn't find it, so these tropical shorts went just well. What I really love about my outfit is the change I went for. Normally I would never pick this neon color up off any rack, but when I seen these shorts, I knew it was time. The beige background in the shorts really sets off the neon perfect. As for my shoes, well let me start by explaining that I been searching for these for a couple years now. Either I could not find them in the right color or my timing was just not right, but that my excuse for buying these. I fell in love.
