Flowers+Skinnies

loving my new Michael bag :). Crop top: Urban outfitters. blazer:Banana Republic. Jeans:Macy's. shoes:Lucky Brand.

Today I decided to leave my comfort zone and throw on my only colored skinny jeans that I own.
I definitely like the colored skinny jean trend, but under one condition: NOT on myself. These reds one are not too bad on me, I guess? I've come to realize that skinny jeans do not flatter curvy hips very well, therefore someone like me looks better in a flair bottom. I just needed to add some color today & I am happy how I put together this outfit in only a matter of ten minutes!
So off to fabric row for the first time in a while! I really just needed some elastic & thread to begin my new project, which I will be posting about soon so stay tuned. Coming out of the fabric store I wandered off to a dainty little coffee & tea shop to snap some photos. Red Hook Coffe & Tea, located in Queen Village, on the corner of 4th and Fulton(between Catherine & Fitzwater), specializes in fair-trade organic coffee. I was fascinated by the urban garden scenery that surrounded the entrance. As I walked up Fulton street, which seemed to be a little alley, it became an even better background shot for me, as seen in the picture with the little blue door. This neighborhood is my favorite in the city, which resembles those of San Francisco, by the brightly colored homes.

Fringe+Layers

dress, top, & sweater-h&m. bag-BakersShoes. shoes-Macy's.

Today I went for a what I call a chic-boho look.
The bag and shoes makes this outfit too trendy, but when I added the sweater
on top it now flows just well & makes a super chic look. These shoes must I add were the start of my addiction. My addiction to shoes, preferably Macy's. About five years ago Macy's seduced me with a 25% discount during the purchase of these shoes if I applied for a Macy's card. How could I have turned down the offer hehe. So it went down hill from then on. Macy's has such a awesome selection of great shoes plus with your Macy's card you will always receive a discount.
My new favorite Lucky's Candy wedge.

History of Tie Dye

On first hottest day of the year I decided to do a little shopping in center city, where the tall buildings barricaded me from the blazing sun. I was able to give my new F21 dress a little show, paired with this adorable thrifted chain purse and my BcBg bow sandals, which I can never get enough use of. This lightweight, tie dye maxi dress was appropriate on a day like this. "Tie dye", a print created by preventing the dye from reaching some areas of the fabric while dyeing others, is correlated with the era of the hippies. Unknown to many are its real roots that date back centuries ago.

Photo shot

These past couple days me and very close friend have been out and about on the hunt for some great Vintage finds, which we succeeded! Also this friend known as Rebecca Way asked me to take some pictures on my new camera for her! Check out her music its pretty great! After our mini shot out in an open lot near her way, we headed to a local cafe and then last but not least, our favorite Vintage warehouse! I managed to bargain some awesome gems, which will be going up on ETSY shortly.
